Headway Lincolnshire could not survive without volunteers – they are our lifeblood. We value their input, creativity and hard work.
Working with people who have had a brain injury can be fascinating, fun, frustrating and occasionally challenging and the Board of Trustees will support all volunteers. We value feedback from volunteers about how we could improve the volunteering experience.
We currently have the following volunteer opportunities available:
Social Support Group Helper - Grantham
About the opportunity
The role is for 2 hours between 10am and 12 noon on every 3rd Wednesday of each month. The role will consist of ;
Assist in the running of workshops
Meeting and greeting people
Setting up and clearing down the meeting room for session
What are we looking for?
You must have a friendly personality, be able to converse with people you don't know, have a listening ear, be empathetic and ideally have some knowledge of brain injury or willing to learn more about brain injury and its effects.
We are seeking a local, enthusiastic and committed volunteer to work alongside members of Headway Lincolnshire to fundraise. This is a unique fundraiser role. You will work independently out in the community, with the support of our Information & Support Worker. You will be expected to support and include members of our social & support group who are living with the effects of brain injury themselves in the planning and running of fundraising activities.
This is a part time volunteer opportunity and will be based mainly around the Lincoln area.
If you would like further details on our volunteering opportunities or have a skill that you think may be of use to Headway Lincolnshire please contact Anne-Marie at email@example.com
